In the school, the lessons are based on the lesson plans which have been followed closely over the years. In other words, there is a possibility that the lessons haven’t changed for decades especially if a particular teacher was not changed over the years. Of course, this may seem alright but this does not consider the level of intellect that has changed throughout the years. This is not true to home schooling. There may be patterns in presenting the lessons but the lessons are usually unique to every student.

Home schooling considers the type of learning that the student prefers. If the student learns more through visual presentations, then the home school teacher has to adjust accordingly. This is made possible because parents are around and are working closely with the teacher in finding the appropriate method of teaching which maximizes the learning capacity of the child.

In the school, there are many opportunities to interact with other people. Kids for example have their set of friends inside the classroom. They have another set of friends in the playground which could be from another classroom. Through these small interactions, kids get to develop their social skills wherein they develop how they can relate to other people. This may not be true to home schooling.

In home schooling, there are only a few students that they will meet. However, overtime this may not be an advantage. With this setup, kids in home schooling only have limited interactions and when they do they have to work on their social skills after.
